Care.

How to store your board

Before storing, rinse all equipment in fresh water and let it dry completely.

To pack away, lay the deflated board deck-up and place the pump across the nose, leaving enough room to wrap the board over. Roll tightly, then secure with the strap. Use the backpack’s internal strap to secure the board inside.

Store your board in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. If keeping it rolled up, avoid excess pressure on the straps. If space allows, it’s best to store the pump separately.

You can also leave your board inflated, ideally kept on a flat surface...

Monocoque: meaning the coating is integral to the structure. MSL® drop-stitch technology integrates a highly durable, reinforced coating to the ultra-high-definition weave to form an inseparable base layer.

Structural: the high-tensile drop-stitch fibres are designed to withstand pressures in excess of 22psi, meaning Red boards can be inflated to provide unrivalled stiffness and confidence, no matter the rider weight or prevailing conditions.

Laminate: the reinforced composite coating is bonded to the textile core using machine welding that applies heat and pressure to the inner PVC layer, saving over 2kg of adhesives and reducing cosmetic and safety concerns. Produced under low tension, this process creates a torsional stiffening effect when the boards are inflated, making MSL® stiffer at lower pressures.

Epic and incredibly versatile

I got one of these for me and one for my girlfriend. The boards are so good to take with us in the van when space is limited, meaning we get out on the water a lot more. The board is fast enough for some long paddles, but it also surfs well in small waves and is plenty stable enough to fish off of with a handline - it is good for so many different adventures. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Buy right, first time.

This is my first board, a decision that took months. I’m not particularly fit and wanted to find a an accessible hobby. I’d tried my friends basic board and thoroughly enjoyed the experience on the sea, but just couldn't stand up.

After months of looking at YouTube, I’d decided it was worth paying a premium for stability and reliable build quality, taking the plunge to buy the 11’ compact. Sure, it’s a chunk more expensive than other options, but being able to travel and explore rivers as well as my local coast line, was an important element for me.

I am so impressed. It’s rare to open a product and have expectations exceeded; Red products absolutely do. I’ve only just got the board, and was eager to try it, so I’ve ventured out twice on choppy seas with 20 mph wind, and was able to stand! I’ll need to work on balance, but it validated my purchase option compared to the cheaper board I’d tried. I bought the inflatable PFF and waste leash for added peace of mind; both equally impressive in quality.

Thank you to the team at Red. Great quality, surpasses expectations, super fast delivery. Perfect.

Paddle board seems great so far, not sure about that bag though

Prior to owning this board, the only SUP boarding I've done was the odd time renting a board from a local shop for the day. All in all, I had done it only a 3 or 4 times before getting the Compact 11'. Those rental boards were all non-inflatable, hard boards. And at my novice level, I honestly can't tell the difference. I'm sure hardboards do have their own advantages, but this Compact 11' seems just as good to me. It's plenty stable, pumps up rather easily for the most part, and fits inside my small SUV no problem.

The 1-star I am docking is due to the bag. I've used it a handful of times, and getting it to fit back in the bag is a real pain in the bum. I see on here it looks as though the 9'6" and the 11' use the same bag, makes me wonder if the 9'6" fits a lot better and the 11' just barely fits. After only a handful of uses, seams are already starting to loosen and threads starting stretch quite a lot.

Amazing Paddle Board Package

Excellent board, very stable and guides along the water well. Resilient and spacious enough for a GSD pup to join. I love the space for a water bottle, so handy. The elastic is strong, but takes a bit longer to dry. Everything folds up into a small bag which is a great size and easy to carry. Both the pump and paddle fold down to an easy to carry size, perfect for travelling. It took me a bit of time to master folding it correctly so everything fits, especially when tired after being on the water.

yes, but..

It's definitely a good all-round board, suitable for most users and most uses.

The unique selling point is the compactness. SUP is effectively a motor sport - you need a car to get all the stuff to the water. The Compact comes with train-friendly size rucksack. However, storing rucksack and pump on the board is really awkward. And packing pump and board back into the rucksack is a bit of a nightmare on a sandy beach in the rain..

If you don't use a car, get yourself a single tube pump. I'm still looking for a better bag - less comfy to carry, but bigger and more packable on the board.
