Presenting the Red WaveKilla Club – Surf Skills and Confidence for Young Rippers

We’re stoked to announce an exciting Red partnership with Surfing Victoria, The Board Lab, and URBNSURF Melbourne. The 2024/25 Red WaveKilla Club is a junior surf program offering guaranteed waves and expert coaching to help young surfers build confidence, sharpen skills, and take their surfing to the next level.

So, what went down?

The Red WaveKilla Club offers exclusive access to the world-class, man-made waves at URBNSURF Melbourne – so no battling crowds or waiting for sets. It’s two hours of consistent, private surf time, designed to accelerate development and maximise fun.

Each session included:

An hour of waves going right and an hour of waves going left, with an hour of recovery / off-water coaching in between to reset, recover, and learn. Each session was packed with personalised tips and energy, led by Aussie surf legends like Cahill Bell-Warren (WSL Championship Tour level coach) and Adam Robertson (2009 Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach runner-up) , plus a few surprise guest coaches along the way.

Flow State captured every single wave in crisp 4K so the groms could watch, learn, and see just how far they’d come across the series. Whether they were just getting their first push-ins or throwing down some air game, every surfer had space to grow. With Morning Squads and Afternoon Squads split by skill level, each day was tailored to make sure every young surfer got the most out of their time in the water.

Smaller groups = more waves, more coaching, more fun.

And of course, Red Equipment was right there in the mix – our Kids Dry Robes and Kids Dry Ponchos kept the crew warm, dry, and ready to rip between sessions. WaveKilla families also scored exclusive discounts on Red gear to keep the stoke going long after the last wave.
