After our big lap around Australia last year in our campervan, we decided to make it our mission to bring that spirit of adventure into our everyday life. So, we recently moved to an offshore community in Pittwater, where access is only by boat. Out here, having all weather layers is more than just handy, it's essential as you never know what the elements might throw at us.
We woke this particular Sunday morning to the early morning light filtering through the gum trees that hug our offshore cabin. The kettle whistled, and our son was already up, barefoot and buzzing, ready to head out for a fish.
He grabbed his EVO Pro Change Robe, as he always does. It’s become his go-to layer from the moment he rolls out of bed on chilly mornings. It’s got this super soft, snuggly fleece inside and a waterproof shell that’s ready for whatever the day throws at us.
This morning was a little cold, but wrapped in his robe, he was warm enough to head outside straight away, already prepping for the day’s adventures. No need to wrestle with multiple layers or argue what jacket to wear. He just throws on the robe over his t shirt & boardies.
After a quick brekkie, we loaded up the tinny and set off for a morning fish. Rods at the ready, and of course, the EVO Pro came too. Out on the water, the wind picked up quickly, and it got cold, but the robe’s 15k waterproof and windproof protection meant Finn stayed snug and dry.
He perched happily at the bow, hood up, casting his line and soaking in the morning. It’s those kinds of moments where the robe really earns its keep, allowing him to stay out longer, more comfortable, and completely in the zone.
Back on dry land, after a quick lunch, we wandered up to the nearby park. From climbing trees, and playing in the treehouse, to building forts, and splashing in the shallows by the mangroves. The EVO Pro was back on in no time!
This is where the robe really shines, it’s built tough for wild play. Mud, wet grass, sudden downpours... none of it matters. The robe takes the brunt of it all, keeping our son dry and warm while we scramble for cover.
Even when the skies opened and the rain really came down, it put the robe through its paces, and Finn stayed super dry despite the wet weather.
As the day drew to a close, we headed back to the cabin. Shoes off, wet gear hung up, and the robe still going strong. From ocean adventures to walking to school, the EVO Pro isn’t just a change robe, it’s a constant companion and a great addition to our all weather gear for island life.
For our son, it’s warmth and comfort in one easy layer. For us, it’s peace of mind knowing he’s protected from the elements and free to play, explore, and be his wild little self, rain or shine.
